This is a sign-up for a trail work party in Forest Park.
When: Saturday, October 19th, 2024 from 9am to 12pm.
Where: Springville Road Trailhead (Parking is limited, carpooling is encourage!)
What: Join Portland Parks & Recreation staff and community volunteers in completing important trail work projects in Forest Park. No experience necessary! Youth participants must be at least age 14, and all volunteers aged 14-17 must have a parent or guardian sign our youth waiver forms
Wear sturdy close-toed shoes, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts. Bring rain gear and/or sun gear, a hat, a filled water bottle, and snacks. Instruction, tools and gloves otherwise provided. You will be walking some distance away from the meeting location and restrooms, so please be ready to hike. Be sure to arrive on time, or you may miss the group.
The work that we will be doing will include, tread and drainage work, cleaning and maintaining lateral drains, as well as some brushing and raking of the trails!
