Wear sturdy close-toed shoes, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts. Bring rain gear and/or sun gear, a hat, a filled water bottle, and snacks. Instruction, tools and gloves otherwise provided. You will be walking up to 2 miles away from the meeting location and restrooms, so please be ready to hike. Be sure to arrive on time, or you may miss the group.
The projects for the event will be clearing and adding drains to get water off the trail. We will be armoring the trail with gravel. There are exposed roots that we will be building over to protect. We will also be leveling and widening the trail in areas where it needs it. We will be using shovels and grubbers to dig into the trail and rakes to remove organic materials off of the trail. We will also be using wheelbarrow to move to gravel and tappers to compact the gravel. It will be fun day with a lot to do.
