Get trained on how to be a better land steward.
Starting with the basics of plant identification, proper removal methods for each targeted non native plant, and how to make minimal impacts while removing non-native plants off trail.
Special tools, PPE, and other relevant topics will also be covered.
One day of the week and one training day during the weekend will be done. This work will be more intentional and slow then more blanket volunteer events we have.
We will be meeting at the trailhead of AFP.
Please park at the turnoff located on McNamee, thank you.
All participants are expected to wear close-toed shoes, dress appropriately for the weather, and bring any medications they believe they might need. We also ask that all participants be prepared to show proof of vaccination and bring a facial covering for engaging with others--we do not expect volunteers will need to wear masks while volunteering.
Additionally, FPC will continue to abide by the Oregon Health Authority guidelines, and we ask that all participants follow our policy guidelines found here. FPC will make every effort to provide materials and access to our policies to keep participants safe and healthy!
