One of the most significant shifts over the past few years has been Forest Park Conservancy's reliance on individual volunteers, working independently to achieve our yearly stewardship plans.
As we move into 2022, it's become clear that there is both a desire to volunteer in Forest Park from a number of individuals and a continuing uncertainty regarding our public health circumstances.
In order to respond to this need, FPC will be formally implementing an Independent Volunteer Program, where individuals will be trained to responsibly aid in the yearly stewardship plans of Forest Park.
This will begin as a zoom training and we will email you a zoom link a few days before the training, and there will be follow up trainings in the field, where participants will be able to work closely with staff and seasoned volunteers to better develop their skill sets.
