Come celebrate National Trails Day 2026 with Forest Park Conservancy! National Trails day is an annual nationwide campaign organized by the American Hiking Society and is the perfect time to get outside and give back to the local trails you love so much.
We will be cutting back the excess spring growth from the sides of the trails in Forest Park to keep the trails safe and navigable and help manage the natural health of the forest.
Join us in helping make Forest Park accessible and protecting the long term health of the trails!
When: Saturday, June 6th, 9am to 12pm.
Where: Upper Macleay. Parking is limited. Carpooling encouraged!

Long pants, long socks, and sturdy, closed-toe shoes with good traction are required for your safety. Long-sleeved shirts and weather appropriate layers are also recommended. Make sure to bring a water bottle - many folks find it beneficial to bring a small backpack as well. In recent years, Forest Park has seen an uptick in bee activity, if you have any allergies, please bring medications in case of emergency!
