Forest Park Conservancy is partnering with Portland Parks & Recreation to host our first Early Detection Rapid Response training to highlight the monitoring and tracking processes to help mitigate the impacts of noxious weeds that harm the health of the forest.
In this training, we'll highlight specific weeds the city is currently focused on managing and review ways to track and report these weeds through the spring. We will provide training, in-field identification, and materials to make sure we can support the city in this mission.
This is a training to supplement the traditional Rapid Response program, and it's open to anyone interested in supporting the ecological health of Forest Park & Marquam Nature Park. (Further Rapid Response trainings will be held in the fall to highlight best practices for traditional trail work and support.)
