This is a sign-up for a connective hike in Forest Park.
When: Friday August 25th, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Where: Leif Erickson Germantown Trailhead (Parking is limited, carpooling is encourage!)
What: Lose your mind and come to your senses. Come join us for a walk in the Forest led by Dr. Richard Kobel, that will focus on sharpening our senses and welcoming our personal experience of being in this marvelous place that we call Forest Park. Using our senses, we will come to meet the forest in new and different ways. We will enrich and deepen our appreciation of the Forest Park experience. Leave with a renewed awe of the natural world. Participants will be encouraged to begin a personal journal to memorialize their observations, experiences, and insights that emerge over the course of an easy stroll. All are invited as every experience will be welcome and unique!
Preparation: Please bring journals and pens to write with. Dress in non-restrictive clothing and wear close-toed shoes. You may wish to bring a little water, too.
We Provide: An experienced instructor and fun!
Activity info: All participants must register for the event, which will be capped at 10 students to ensure plenty of attention to each.
This activity takes place outdoors in the open air, and though participants often pass each other on the narrow trail, we have lots of room to spread out. With that in mind, masks and vaccination are not required for this activity. However, we require volunteers to stay home when feeling any symptoms of illness (regardless of COVID-19 test result) and fully support participants’ choice to wear a mask if desired.
