Tinctures are medicinal mixtures made by dissolving plants in a liquid base. Join our Nature Education Manager, Dawn Lowe, for this Forest Park Learning Activity. We’ll learn to make tinctures, what to use them for, how to choose between alcohol, vinegar, and glycerin tinctures, and how to use usnea as a plant base. We will also discuss the use of local forest plants and the ethics of collecting. All of the skills you need to practice tincture-making on your own!
Time: Saturday, February 11th at 10:00 a.m.
Where: 833 SW 11th Ave. Suite 228 Portland, OR 97205
