Description

What: Join Forest Park Conservancy on a low impact hike in Forest Park, guided by Tanya March Phd. Learn more about man made alterations, and different interesting historical facts!

This Hike will start at Lower Macleay trailhead and go to several different attractions including the Witch’s Castle. Our guide is an architectural historian, focusing on how greed in philanthropy transformed the land in the last century and a half.  Feel free to come and take pictures of the summer beauty that is Forest Park as you indulge in the history and learn how Forest Park came to be!

Preparation: Please be sure to wear close-toed shoes, weather appropriate clothing, and bring sunscreen and bug spray, if you believe you might need it! Please sign up to secure your spot!

We provide: An afternoon of educational fun, a local researcher/historian and a wonderful hike.

Activity info: All participants must register for the event, which will be capped at 20 guests. To receive monthly updates about additional work parties and trainings, join our email list!
